Creating your Story
James studied photography before embarking on a career as a director which saw him direct over 40 professional productions including award-winning comedy, drama and family musicals. Some of these have included The Wind in The Willows (Tour); Neil Simons, I Want to Be in Pictures; Samuel Beckett's Endgame; The Adventures of Robin Hood; Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure; Get Carter (Edinburgh Festival); Entertaining Mr Sloane; and The Jungle Book. From 2013-2017 James was Artistic Director of Emporium Theatre. Now he is delighted to return to the medium.
Combining his knowledge and skill of directing actors, and communicating ideas effectively, James creates an enjoyable, productive and creative shoot working with a diverse range of subjects. along with his passion for film, he takes a cinematic approach exploring location, light, angles and atmosphere and most importantly story.
He is currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Media Practice at The University of Westminster, developing wider skills in film, photography and live art.
